Sensei Joshua Meyer

I started training at the University Karate Center in 1983. In 1992, I received my Junior Black Belt and became the youngest student to receive that honor. Shortly after receiving my black belt I started training for competition. When I was 14 I entered the martial arts circuit in Florida. I placed first in the state in sparring. Thereafter, I began not only competing on the state level, but the national level as well. From the time I started competing, till the time I left for college, I won many state championships in both sparring and forms. The greatest honor I had was when I went to Colorado to try out for a spot on the US Olympic Tae-Kwon-Do Team. I am now currently in Law School and even though it is incredibly time consuming, I still find time to stay flexible and in shape.
